Avery 5160 address labels from a list

Print a whole mailing list on address labels without fighting a Word mail merge. Paste the addresses or upload a CSV from Excel or Google Sheets, choose the label sheet, and download a PDF that prints straight onto the labels. The default is the Avery® 5160 size (1 × 2⅝ in, 30 labels per sheet), the most used address label template in the US and Canada.

Print a list of addresses on 5160 labels

  1. Paste your addresses, one block per address with a blank line between, or paste rows from a spreadsheet (name, street, city, state, ZIP). A header row is skipped.
  2. Pick the sheet: 5160 / 8160 / 5960 compatible for address labels, 5163 for shipping labels, 5167 for return address labels, or an A4 size.
  3. If part of a sheet is used, start at the next free label.
  4. Download the PDF and print at 100% (actual size). Test on plain paper first and use the offset if the print is a little off.

Return address labels

Choose "One address on every label" to fill a sheet with your own address, for invoices, holiday cards and parcels. For parcel labels with a barcode, use the 4 × 6 shipping label template.

Mailing label template tips

Keep each address to 4 or 5 lines, put the city, state and ZIP on one line, and use capitals without punctuation for the cleanest postal scanning. The text shrinks to fit when an address is long.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print Avery 5160 labels from a list?

Paste the list or upload a CSV, keep the 5160 sheet selected, download the PDF and print it at 100% scale on the label sheet. No Word mail merge is needed.

What size is an Avery 5160 label?

1 × 2⅝ in, 30 labels per letter sheet in 3 columns and 10 rows. 8160 and 5960 use the same layout.

Can I use these templates with other label brands?

Yes. Most brands sell labels in the same sizes and print the compatible Avery® number on the box.

Why are my labels not lining up?

Print at 100% (actual size), not fit to page, and check the paper size. If the print is still off by a little, move it with the offset fields and print a test on plain paper.

Can I start on a partly used sheet?

Yes. Enter the number of the first free label and printing starts there.

Is the label maker free?

Yes. No sign up, no watermark and no limit on the number of labels. The PDF is made in your browser.
