What goes on a tariff information label

A tariff information label puts the details customs uses to set duties on the outside of a parcel: what is inside, its HS or HTS tariff code, where it was made, its value and weight, and whether duties are paid by the sender or the recipient. Since the US ended duty free de minimis entry for low value parcels in 2025, these details decide what every cross border parcel costs.

How to use it

  1. Enter the sender and recipient.
  2. Add a line per product with its HS code and origin; find codes with the AI HS code finder.
  3. Print, sign and attach it to the parcel next to the shipping label.

Carriers and postal services also have their own customs forms (CN22, CN23) and may need a commercial invoice for higher values; this label carries the same data in a clear layout.
